A new class!

The reenactment and fencing group of Raven’s Army has kindly contacted me to support and direct them in their study of ‘I.33. It ‘s always a pleasure to train fencers (with more or less experience) in the system presented on the London Tower Fechtbuch. The welcome was warm and participation in the lesson serious and determined. A group of future Dimicatores start on the long road of learning.

The first lesson introduced the fundamental guards to begin , humero dextrali, humero sinistro and Halpshilt. The concept of Zufechten, tempo, measure and “True time”. Finishing off with a mention of the first complex action, the counterbind to the right!

  1. My best wishes: May your art thrive and prosper! And I am looking forward to fencing you, Federico, and your students in Berlin at one point.
